Jeffry Wolin does not need to say a word in order for Inconvenient Stories to speak loudly. Coupled with narratives from 50 Vietnam Veterans about their lives during the war, Wolin’s photographs take on a strength and persistence that make these accounts undeniably and extraordinarily powerful. These images appeared a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in October of 2005.

Wolin is a Professor of Photography at Indiana University. His photographs are in the permanent collections of numerous museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Houston Museum of Fine Arts; Art Institute of Chicago; Cleveland Museum of Art; New York Public Library; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Bibliotèque Nationale de France, Paris; and Museum of Modern Art, New York. Wolin is the recipient of two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and a Guggenheim Fellowship.
