Spectator Sports (April 15 - June 30, 2013) is a group exhibition that includes artists who consider the act of watching professional athletes perform––by examining how technologies cultivate and engage fan communities as well as broadcasting documentation of human athleticism intermixed with narrative dramatization. Artists Susken Rosenthal, Joe Armao, Dave Pavlich, Paul Pfeiffer, Katja Stuke, Andreas Gursky, Robin Rhode, Cory Archangel, and Stefan Jandl explore the vicarious connection that fans feel with the athletes or teams that they root for.
